Update on Campus Memorialization Project

As we near the end of the fall semester, we invite you to review Wake Forest’s ongoing work on the Campus Memorialization Project.

As we enter the next phase of this initiative – one that will lead to initial designs and specific locations being shared with the campus community in the next few months – members of our community should anticipate updates to this work. Learn more here.

Campus Memorialization Update

Later this month, members of the Baskervill design team will be on campus to share conceptual themes for the memorial, which will remember and honor the humanity of the enslaved men, women, and children who worked for or were sold to benefit the University.

Baskervill’s presentations will include early conceptual ideas and gather feedback from attendees. Please consider participating in one of the presentations to learn more about the next phase of Campus Memorialization. Learn more here.

Update on the Campus Memorialization Project

More than 100 Wake Forest students, faculty, staff, as well as residents of Wake Forest, North Carolina, have participated in discussion forums or completed online feedback forms to inform the process of designing, locating, and constructing a memorial to the enslaved individuals who helped found our institution, as well as build and maintain the original campus. WFU child care center planned to open in September

After a competitive Request for Proposal (RFP) process, Wake Forest University has selected KinderCare Learning Companies for Employers to operate a child care and early education center in the University Corporate Center (UCC).

The center, “KinderCare at Wake Forest University,” is projected to open in September, dependent upon timely completion of construction and center licensing. Beginning Mar. 6, interested families may contact KinderCare directly to speak with an enrollment specialist and to discuss the registration process.
