R.I.D.E. Departmental Classification Criteria
Inclusive Excellence is an institutional priority and ODI wants to celebrate the deep and meaningful engagement of colleagues across campus. Each Spring, departments, organizations, and units can automatically receive a R.I.D.E. designation based upon their documented progress with Realizing Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity.

The R.I.D.E. Explorer award recognizes departments that have shown a promising start in embracing diversity and are actively exploring the possibilities of the R.I.D.E. initiative. | The R.I.D.E. Innovator award recognizes departments that have demonstrated significant progress and innovation in implementing diversity initiatives and have made a positive impact. | The R.I.D.E. Champion award recognizes departments that have fully embraced the principles of diversity and inclusion, becoming a leader in driving positive change and fostering inclusive excellence. |
Submitted a R.I.D.E. Plan with at least 2 SMART goals and evaluation plan (i.e. completed the Fall R.I.D.E. Survey) Submitted progress on R.I.D.E. plan (i.e. completed the Spring R.I.D.E. Follow-Up Survey) Provides R.I.D.E. information prominently on departmental website and/or communications materials | R.I.D.E. Explorer Criteria and: Submitted a R.I.D.E.
